Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer and director who is best known as the star of Birdman. An actor with a variety of talents, he's skilled in playing comedy and dramatic roles. In addition to playing romantic roles, he also was a part of action films and thrillers. His interest in the performing arts started at the age of teen. He tried stand up comedy when he was in his early 20s. It was not successful, though it helped pave the way to his acting career. When he failed to become a popular comedian, he began working at a television station in a satellite as a crew member. He realized that his true interest was front of the camera when he was working at the station. When he was offered a part on TV, he starred on numerous shows in Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was a natural actor and was quickly a hit on TV. After establishing a successful acting career in film, his funny appearances brought him plenty of recognition. The Tim Burton film Batman He played the superhero of the same title. As a mature actor, he also began to venture into directing and producing. The performance he made in the 2014 film Birdman brought him nominations and accolades.
